Recent ActivityWelcome to our new class website! We are in the middle of constructing it, so please be patient as we add updates. Check back often to see what changes we've made and to see Class Homework which will be updated 2 times a week. If you need to contact me through email, my email address is mahoneka@pwcs.edu. Class Announcements Teacher Workdays and ConferencesPlease remember the Monday Nov. 2nd and Tuesday Nov. 3rd are teacher workdays so there is NO SCHOOL for students! I do have some times left open for conferences on Tuesday Nov. 3rd. Please call the school to see if any times work for you. The office staff has my schedule and will help schedule a time. Conferences are student led!!! Make sure to bring your child to the conference so he/she can give their own input on how they are doing, then they can sit outside the classroom if you wish to speak with me alone to discuss anything of concern.
Class Averages for Tests So Far - They Look AWESOME!!!Science Natural Resources Test- 91%

By the end of the 2009/2010 school year, we will all read on at least a 5th grade reading level based on our QRI (Qualitative Reading Inventory) assessment. Mrs. Mahoney's 2009/2010 Class MissionWe all agreed on the following actions that will help us reach our Class Vision:
~We will read at least 30 minutes every night ~We will be prepared to share during reading groups ~We will be proactive about getting help when we don't understand something ~Being a good reader means we will ask ourselves questions as we read passages ~We will practice reading aloud and retelling what we've read to friends, parents, brothers/sisters, grandparents or whoever will listen:) Discussion Topics Class Files No "Class Files" exist(s) |
